Doorbells nameplates, intercoms, and mailboxes are in high demand, both from homeowners and condominium administrators. With PCube engraving machines, it is easy, fast, and profitable to create high-quality nameplates in plastic and brass.
Doorbell and house nameplates
Doorbell, intercom and mailbox nameplates are both functional and aesthetic elements. In many apartment buildings, and also in many homes, you can see rough nameplates, hand-written labels or labels made with label makers and different materials, each one different from the other. The importance of having a properly made doorbell nameplate is often underestimated, and the fact that the plate is a "business card" for whoever rings the bell.
Doorbell nameplates for homes can have different shapes and sizes. They are often backlit, to ensure better visibility, and in this case the nameplates are made of a material that lets light pass through. Doorbell tags must clearly offer clear and immediate identification of the data (name, floor, access code, etc.) and for aesthetic reasons they must certainly be coordinated with the other nameplates in the home.
How are doorbell and house tags made?
To make quality and long-lasting doorbell nameplates, special engraving machines are mainly used that remove the material by milling, real mini CNC milling machines specifically designed for engraving plates. These are truly versatile engraving machines as they allow you to make specific plates for each home thanks to the fact that they can engrave all materials. For example, they engrave the very thin plastic material made available by intercom manufacturers (Urmet, Elvox, ...), the two-tone or translucent plastic material for intercoms, doorbells and mailboxes supplied by PCube, they also engrave metal plates, such as brass, aluminum and steel. Through milling, the engraved names are aesthetically beautiful and indelible over time and the same machine is also able to cut the plate starting from the sheet of material to obtain the necessary size and shape.

As an alternative to milling, you can also use laser machines, with laser machines with CO2 technology you can obtain beautiful plastic plates, but not metal ones. To provide greater versatility, we offer a laser with dual technology, with a metal CO2 source, which guarantees perfect engravings and also allows you to cut plastic plates to size, with the possibility of using a second BLUE laser source to also engrave metal.
