Every industrial machine must be identified clearly and permanently. Technical specifications, serial numbers, CE marking information and manufacturer details accompany the product throughout its entire service life and must remain legible even in demanding environments.
Aluminum and stainless steel nameplates are the most widely used solution for manufacturers of machinery, equipment and industrial systems. They resist wear, chemical exposure and outdoor conditions while providing a durable medium for essential product identification and traceability information.
Thanks to modern engraving and marking technologies, it is possible to produce CE nameplates, serial number nameplates, equipment identification nameplates and technical nameplates in-house, whether in small or large quantities, while maintaining high quality standards and short lead times.
Metal identification nameplates are a critical component of industrial machinery, electrical panels, electronic equipment, automation systems and production facilities. In addition to meeting regulatory requirements, they ensure proper equipment identification during installation, maintenance and service operations.
A well-made nameplate lasts as long as the machine it identifies.
PCube technologies enable permanent marking on anodized aluminum, stainless steel, brass and other metals commonly used in industry. Text, variable data, serial numbers, QR codes, DataMatrix codes, company logos and any other information required for product traceability can be engraved or marked.
CE nameplates contain the information required to identify the manufacturer, model, year of manufacture, serial number and any other data required by applicable regulations. Permanent marking helps ensure that this information remains legible throughout the life of the equipment
Anodized aluminum and stainless steel are the most widely used materials in industrial applications thanks to their excellent mechanical and chemical resistance. Depending on the application, brass, plastics and other technical materials may also be used.
Sequential serial numbers, production codes, QR codes, DataMatrix codes and other identification data can be automatically retrieved from a manufacturing management system and marked on each nameplate without manual intervention, simplifying traceability management.
Diamond-tip CNC engraving is a practical and widely used solution for engraving pre-printed or screen-printed aluminum nameplates. A CO₂ laser is ideal for marking large quantities of aluminum or plastic nameplates, while a fiber laser is an excellent choice for stainless steel nameplates. Dot peen marking is also an interesting technology for permanent metal marking and industrial traceability applications.
For the production of aluminum and stainless steel CE nameplates, we recommend the Magic S3 or Magic E4. For laser marking, the GCC E200SM is a versatile solution thanks to its large working area and flexibility, while the Magic L3 is particularly suitable for stainless steel marking applications.
PCube supplies not only the machines, but also engraving materials, custom-cut nameplates and screen-printed aluminum nameplates featuring the customer's graphics. We also provide training and technical support to help customers bring the production of their identification nameplates in-house.
Anodized aluminum is the most popular material due to its excellent balance between cost, quality, and durability. For particularly aggressive environments, stainless steel is often used; in certain environments, plastic tags are used.
Yes. The machines can read the data and automatically create different sequential numbering, serial numbers, QR codes, and DataMatrix codes for each tag.
Yes. Markings made on anodized aluminum and stainless steel remain legible even in industrial and outdoor environments.
For the majority of CE nameplates both laser and mechanical engraving achieve excellent results, the laser creates greater contrast and is usually faster.
Yes. In addition to the machines, we supply custom-cut nameplates, screen-printed nameplates with your graphics, and nameplate material sheets.
